Infotility wins second-round SBIR for continued development and commercialization of GridAgent technologies for management and control of Distributed Energy Resources

Infotility to develop Multi Agent System to control Micro Grid

Infotility was awarded a U.S. Department of Energy SBIR contract to develop a multi-agent-system (MAS) to control a microgrid. Partnerships were established with the CSIRO in Australia, as well as luminaries within the Artificial Intelligence community. This research involves the development of intelligent, smart software components called GridAgents, which run at distributed locations on the energy network, to improve the reliability, efficiency, security, and stability of the U.S. electrical transmission and distribution network. The development approach uses a novel approach with open standards and a Web Services architecture, which allows for interoperability among industry participants.
